About Us

Superior, Nebraska was aptly declared, by the Nebraska State Legislature, the Victorian Capital of Nebraska in 1992. Historical markers designate many of the Victorian homes throughout our beautiful town, it is not difficult to spot the ornate architecture that makes our quaint little city unique.

The original Plains Motel, built in the 1960’s, underwent a rebranding when it changed ownership in 1996. The new owners wanted to account for the city’s Victorian heritage and constructed an addition which added 12 rooms, along with a beautiful sitting area, to the original 28. Each room has its own unique ambiance making your stay feel more like you are at a bed and breakfast than a small town, road size motel.

Start your day with coffee in our cozy lobby, and end it throwing horseshoes right on premise; we aim to make our guests feel at home.
